Oncology Jennifer Young Treatments

My decision to train as a Jennifer Young Oncology Therapist was a very personal one. In June 2021 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Whilst I went through the various treatments I decided that when I recovered from the treatment, I would retrain to enable me to safely invite Oncology clients into my salon to enjoy our services safely and with confidence. 

It can be daunting to find time `for you` following a diagnosis, time that doesn't involve the `C` word. Here at The Wellness and Beauty Company I am proud to say that we can offer you a relaxing and comforting environment where you can take that time. 

Jennifer Young is the recognised expert in oncology touch therapies and specialist skincare for cancer patients. Her name is trusted in the cancer community, as the creator of over 200 specialist skincare products to address the needs of those living with or beyond cancer. 

She offers a specialist qualification for beauty therapists enabling support of clients affected by cancer, combating side effects of cancer treatment and those experiencing hormonal change. The qualification is certified by the Federation of Holistic Therapists. 

With my personal experience, along with my training as a Jennifer Young therapist I understand the importance of offering adapted treatments, with specialist techniques that can help combat some of the side effects of cancer treatment, and can be inclusive to anyone, following a diagnosis.

Specially designed treatments for clients going through different stages of cancer, without requiring medical consent. However, for any client who is in active in treatment that would prefer to discuss the treatment with their medical team we have a letter for your care team with full details of the treatment in which we can request their consent.

Rejuvenating and Lifting facial

Offers practical skin care benefits as well as providing a sense of deep relaxation and wellbeing and improved sleep whilst addressing the sometimes distressing side effects of treatment such as dry and extremely sensitive skin. 

The Lifting and Rejuvenating Facial includes a relaxing and soothing massage, which improves skin and muscle tone; and acupressure, which can improve skin texture and reduce hot flushes. We use Muscle Stabilising Techniques and Lifting Techniques to maximise the anti-aging impact of the facial. 

Using The Defiant Beauty Face Collection which was developed with the help of the NHS to be safe and effective on the most sensitive skin, a deep cleanse, gentle exfoliation and facial spritz/toner are used to treat the skin, using a selection of serums such as the `itchy skin oil` these products are pure luxury and will leave your skin reaping the benefits long after the facial. 

Manicure and Pedicures

The Luxury Manicure and Pedicure can help combat some of the common side-effects of cancer treatment such as dry, sensitive skin or brittle, fragile, ridged or discoloured nails. Hands and feet are treated to a deep cleanse, gentle exfoliation and relaxing massage. Releasing tension that can build up in these areas can lead to a profound sense of well-being and calm. Hands and feet are treated to intense moisturisation along with a beautiful nail oil which can combat nail related side effects of cancer treatment. 

Clients can choose from a selection of Jennifer Young nail varnishes which are `10 free`, this means they do not contain any ingredients listed below and contain as many natural ingredients as possible and use minerals to provide the high pigmentation needed to cover and disguise nail damage.
